COMPUTERS... AAAAHHHHH

It has been forever since I have posted anything, and I've been trying to post from Halloween but for some reason my computer won't allow the program to run that allows me to upload photos, and I am not bright enough to figure out how to get around it! Hopefully I can get it figured out soon or find someone to figure it out for me. It is so frustrating to find a FEW minutes to accomplish something and then not be able to! Anyways there is my complaining for the day, not really... I'm sure I'll complain more later to my husband about being prego, that's an every day occurrence around here! But he should at least have to hear about it right?! I'm still here and will post again as soon as I get my computer figured out!

My niece Allix is a senior this year and we have been talking for awhile now about doing some senior photos for her. So this weekend we were finally able to get together to take advantage of the outdoors for some fun photos. I had such a great time with her she is such a cutie and a blast to be with. We took sooo many photos it was hard to pick my favs but here are a few of them!! Hopefully we will get a couple more chances this year to take more pics in the changing seasons.

4-H

This was our first year having a child in 4-H, and it was quite a learning experience for Abby and I! She did three different classes. She sewed pajama pants in her Sewing class. Painted, drew, and sculpted clay in her Art class. She learned how to shoot at all kinds of targets with a BB gun in her shooting class and even got a second place in their shoot out contest. So she was awarded a red ribbon for that. I think she has had a lot of fun. I'm afraid she will have to cut back on the classes next year though because Dylan will also be old enough next year and I won't be able to keep up with too many classes! We'll see if I can talk them both into doing the same classes! ;)

Potty Training...

So we have been trying to potty train our little Addalyn (her choice) I didn't think we were quite ready but she thinks she is so its lots of wet undies and thank heavens not so many dirty messes but the other day I had given her a frozen yogurt for breakfast and left the room and came back to check on the all too quiet one (expecting a HUGE mess) and when I finally found her this is what I found...
I just had to laugh and grab the camera!

So through this process I'll have to remind myself potty training isn't always bad, sometimes its good for a great laugh!

On a roll

For father's day I decided that I would try and make my sister-in-laws raspberry rolls for my wonderful husband! I had never made them before so I was quite hesitant to do so. But a few days prior I made cinnamon rolls (which my family devoured in a measly 2 days) from her recipe which is partly the same recipe,so I thought I could do it. They did turn out fine not quite as pretty as Samera's turn out but taste just fine. Now I find out the majority of my children do not even like raspberry rolls! Hopefully Jimmy will be able to eat them before they get to old! prior to baking

Since I didn't get around to making the rolls 'till quite late at night Jaksen was the only one that was still awake and he was trying to be such a big helper!

And the finished product!
Happy Father's Day Sweetie!

Feeding Fish

We decided to take the kids to go feed the fish yesterday. It rained on the way there and on the way back but it wasn't actually raining when we got there or the entire time we stayed! The kids love to go and feed the fish a couple times each year. There were so many fish yesterday and some of them were HUGE! Dylan is never really interested in feeding the fish he is always near the shallow water trying to catch the teenie tiny fish. He was so grumpy when I told him it was time to go and he hadn't actually caught one. I was so glad he didn't catch any, that would have been an even bigger fight telling him he couldn't keep it! Addalyn was so funny, she didn't like to walk on the little wooden platform (deck) all of the cracks scared her. She kept trying to only walk on one plank so she didn't step on the cracks! We all had a great time out as a family.

Abigail posing as usual!
Dylan ignoring the camera while he is trying to catch a baby fish and not get wet!

Jaksen posing for the camera while he is as close to the water as possible getting all muddy!

And Addalyn hanging on to the railing while she watched the fish jumping for the food!

We're not done yet!

Okay so I put a baby ticker up on my blog a few days ago but haven't actually said (typed) the words... "We are going to have another little baby!" I'm not very far along but the kids know because I got pretty sick from it and so we told them so I was able to get some extra help from them while I was sick. But since they know, they have told all their friends and actually total strangers. Any one I'm talking to even if I don't know them they tell them "Mommy has a baby in her tummy!" They are ALL so excited! We aren't going to find out what this one is, I've always wanted to have that surprise in the delivery room but have never gone without finding out before hand, but I'm determined to go without knowing this time! I had an ultra sound and have never had one this early in a pregnancy, It was really neat to see the baby all formed yet SOOO tiny! So I guess for those of you who have had an ultra sound yourself, you may be able to tell what is what in the picture otherwise it probably just looks like a little blob!

Field Day

On Monday the kids had their field day. It was perfect weather in the morning when Abby's class was outside, but by the afternoon when Dylan's class went out it was just about to start raining. They only finished the long distance run and softball throw before it began to rain. Then it rained almost the entire time they were oustide! It didn't seem to bother any of the kids though! I was soaked as were Jak and Adda. Once the rain did stop they (Jak & Adda) decided to play in the puddles that were left behind, trying to swim in them at one point. Both Abigail and Dylan did really well and had a great time! Dylan ribboned in every event and Abigail got a ribbon for 5 out of the 9 events!

He's 3!!!!!!!

Okay so he's been 3 for awhile now, but he is a whole year younger than Dylan was when we first put him on the little Honda 50. Jaksen has been dying to ride "his motorcycle" and we kept telling him that he had to learn to ride his pedal bike without training wheels and accidents! So last year before he turned 3 he was riding ALL over the place and pretty well. So today

he got to go outside with dad and try it out ! I thought I was going to have a heart attack watching him ride around the yard and the field! He did pretty good the majority of the time ~ dodging all the obstacles in the yard including all of people watching him! But he did get scared and forgot how to do the brakes and ran into the step and decided he was done with it! But Jimmy didn't want him to get off of it while he was scared so he talked him into going a little bit more!

Thanks!!! And a little chuckle for me

Everything I've tried to post today is coming up backwards. I was tyring to put this at the end of my other pictures I'm posting today but it wasn't working. So I 'll remember to post things backwards next time then they will turn out the way I wanted. Right? Any way this was the end of my day, yesterday. We went on a food storage shopping spree. I wish I would have taken a picture of it all in the back of my truck. I can not tell you the amount of looks and comments I got yesterday while checking out. I guess not as many people buy food storage this way as I thought or at least not the people I ran into last night! People thought I was crazy!! I felt bad for the people waiting in line behind us so I made sure that they knew that my shopping cart was not the only items they would be waiting on... my sweet husband was waiting at the end of the check out with our OTHER cart ( the big 6 wheeled ones). And the look of pure shock was just FUNNY to me. I couldn't help but chuckle. But I'm not really chuckling now because I still need to finish organizing it all!! And to think this was just the beginning of it since our food storage has been dwindling and I've been slacking on restocking!
Anyway this was what I actually got on to post about:

Yesterday my 2 pre-school classes and I were able to go to the Driggs Fire Department. Where we were taught all about fire safety by the wonderful firemen there. It was a great day and the kids learned a lot while having a great time! So... THANK YOU TO ALL THE FIREMEN!!! We appreciate all of your hard work and for taking the time to show us around!

With great appreciation,

Hobby

I have been having lots of fun with my newest hobby! It's so addicting though. Most (1/2) of my kids have enjoyed being my practice subjects. Dylan, and most of the time Addalyn are just not interested in having their pictures taken, but Abigail and Jaksen could spend all day playing with mommy and the camera! Abigail especially is loving the POSING. My little creative girl comes up with some pretty cute poses. Today we were out using the sun and partly overcast skies for some great picture opportunities. Then I got to edit the photos ~ I am loving black and white or sepia pictures, they make every picture just a little cuter! I am challenging myself to find some great places around the house and surrounding areas for some interesting pictures. Next I need to go for a car ride to scout out areas in the valley for future shoots! Friday I get to do my first baby shots for someone else. I am looking forward to working with a tiny one, that can't run from me ;) I figure anyone I can talk into letting me practice on is a great opportunity! So if anyone is looking for a way to spend some extra time just let me know! :)

It has been too long since I have updated, but there really hasn't been that much going on around here! We have been pretty laid back lately! But I thought I would atleast add a pic or two from the last camera session with my younger two kids who can't tell me "NO" yet! I'm sure they are going to get tired really quick, of mom playing with the camera trying to figure it out! But for now they are willing, especially if we are heading outside! I'll be heading up to the ski hill today to atleast take pictures of the other two kids. I'm not sure if I'll ski today depends on how it looks out there when I go up. I'm such a fair weather skier (my kids think I'm such a wimp) and I'll probably be too busy taking pictures anyways! Today is their last school ski day for the season so they will be having their race today, so I'm sure I'll have pictures to post later!

A little bit of s.......

We were able to get up on the hill today for a little bit of sunshine, snow, skiing, and snowboarding! I didn't take my camera with me today so the cell phone video had to do! Today was Abby's 2nd day on her new board and she did awesome!! She can now do Shoshon with maybe just one fall (when someone gets in her way) I didn't even get a pic or video of Dylan he doesn't stick too close to mom anymore! I am impressed that he will wait at the bottom of the hill for me before loading onto the lift! Which is more than he would do on Tuesday after ski school! The kids are loving it, now I need to get Jaksen up there, maybe this week or next! I'm trying to prepare myself for the FUN time!! I'll try to remember a camera!

Sorry for the video quality! I'm chasing her!!
